Job Description
As the Vice President of Data Sales focused on the not-for-profit sector at
Epsilon, you will lead and drive new business opportunities and sales efforts
related to data products and services specifically designed to support not-
for-profit organizations. You will strategize, collaborate, and execute sales
plans, aiming to enhance the impact of data-driven solutions in the not-for-
profit space. The Sales executive will support prospective and existing
accounts and will also have responsibilities for building and leading the
sales organization. Successful candidates will bring a strong functional skill
base, a track record of delivering results, and good interpersonal and
organizational skill sets.
Duties & Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: Provide leadership, vision, and direction to
the data sales team focusing on the not-for-profit sector. Develop and
communicate sales strategies that align with the mission and objectives of
not-for-profit organizations.
Sales Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive sales plans
tailored to the not-for-profit sector. Lead the team in executing these
plans to achieve or exceed sales targets, increase market share, and drive
positive social impact.
Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong
relationships with not-for-profit organizations, understanding their
unique needs and acting as a key advocate for Epsilon's data solutions.
Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts.
Collaboration and Alignment: Collaborate with internal teams,
including product development, marketing, and analytics, to ensure the
alignment of data offerings with the requirements and goals of not-for-
profit.
Market Insights and Innovation: Stay informed about industry
trends, competitor activities, and market shifts within the not-for-profit
space. Identify new opportunities, innovations, and emerging data-driven
strategies that can benefit not-for-profit.
Reporting and Analysis: Utilizes sales performance data to
generate reports, analyze results, and present findings to senior
management. Make data-driven recommendations for future strategies and
developments.
Engaged in aligning organizational goals with actionable targets for the
team, followed by the identification, acquisition, and reporting of both
leading and lagging performance indicators across the entire company.
Establishes and consistently evaluates the strategic objectives of the
team, adapting them as necessary to remain synchronized with the
overarching corporate goals.
Accountable for fostering organic growth within existing accounts and
spearheading the development of new business opportunities.
Accountable for effectively promoting and expanding the sales of data
products and enterprise solutions through upselling and cross-selling
strategies where applicable.
Creates and cultivates resources while actively seeking and nurturing new
business prospects.
Interfaces with client at all levels within existing and prospective
account(s)
Identifies and leads the pursuit of the targeted new business and contract
expansion opportunities within target accounts.
Leverages a client-diagnostic sales strategy and consultative approach to
uncover client specific issues and/or opportunities.
Identifies and manages resources to develop proposals that position the
full range of Epsilon's capabilities & solutions to customers.
Collaborates with Epsilon's executive team and subject matter experts to
jointly present proposals.
Monitors delivery, implementation, and customer satisfaction.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated experience and knowledge of the not-for-profit landscape,
including its unique challenges, regulatory environment, funding
structures, and the specific needs of charitable organizations.
Proven track record of successful sales leadership, preferably within the
not-for-profit sector, with a focus on driving revenue growth and building
strategic partnerships.
Strong understanding of data-driven technologies, analytics, and insights
and their application within the not-for-profit sector to improve
fundraising, donor relations, and overall impact.
Ability to create and execute sales strategies that align with the goals
and mission of not-for-profit organizations, effectively utilizing data to
drive decision-making and social impact.
Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
in the not-for-profit sector, understanding their needs and delivering
tailored data-driven solutions.
Strong business, communication and presentation skills and the ability to
advocate for the value of data-driven solutions in driving positive change
and social impact within the not-for-profit sector.
Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams such as
product development, marketing, analytics, and other relevant departments
to align data offerings with the not-for-profit sector's requirements.
Demonstrated history of effectively overseeing sales staff and providing
guidance to junior team members in honing their sales, account management,
and negotiation competencies.
Knowledge of direct to consumer and direct to practitioner marketing
programs.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, Sales, Marketing, or related
field. Master's degree preferred.
8-10+ years of successful sales experience, with a significant focus on
data-driven products or services, especially within the not-for-profit
sector.
Proven leadership experience in sales roles, with a track record of
driving revenue growth and fostering strong client relationships.
A deep understanding of the not-for-profit industry, including the unique
challenges and opportunities within this sector.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills, with a
passion for social impact and a dedication to making a difference through
data-driven solutions.
Ability to travel as needed, for client meetings and industry events.
