Social Media Specialist

This is a hybrid position reporting to our HQ located in Granville, OH until end of Q2 when we move offices to the Polaris area. 2 days week will be in the office.

Position Description:

RevLocal is seeking a talented and dynamic Social Media Specialist to lead and manage our social media presence. As a leader in digital marketing solutions specializing in small and mid-sized businesses (SMBs), RevLocal empowers companies to optimize their online presence effectively. The Social Media Specialist will play a pivotal role in developing, executing, and optimizing social media strategies across various platforms to enhance brand awareness, improve engagement with our target audience, and generate leads for RevLocal.

Major Areas of Responsibility

  • Brand Ambassador: Represent RevLocal with authenticity across all social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, and TikTok, embodying our values and mission in every interaction.
  • Content Creation and Calendar Management: Craft captivating original content and curate an ongoing dynamic social content calendar that resonates with our audience and reinforces RevLocal's unique value proposition.
  • Collaborative Strategy: Partner closely with others on our marketing team to ensure seamless alignment between social media initiatives and broader marketing objectives, fostering synergy and amplifying our brand presence.
  • Coordinated Content Posting: Fulfill requests from teams for content to be posted on the main RevLocal profiles or on RevLocal Facebook location subpages when related to upcoming consultant events in specific areas.
  • Engagement and Response: Engage with our community daily, foster meaningful connections, respond promptly to inquiries and messages, and nurture relationships that drive brand loyalty.
  • Performance Analysis and Optimization: Dive deep into analytics and reporting; track and analyze social media performance metrics to refine our approach and maximize impact across all channels.
  • Innovation and Adaptation: Stay at the forefront of industry trends and social media innovations, leveraging insights to evolve our strategy and maintain our competitive edge.
  • Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Experience : 1+ year(s) in social media management for brands and extensive understanding of social media marketing on multiple platforms
  • Education : Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • Strategic Thinker: Ability to translate insights and data into actionable strategies
  • Social Graphic Design/Layout: Canva or similar required, Adobe Creative Suite preferred
  • Collaborative: Skilled in effective teamwork and able to work cross- functionally
  • Adaptability: Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Communication: Strong short-form writing skills with attention to detail
  • Organizational Skills: Prioritizes effectively, sets goals, and drives results
  • Social Media Certifications: Preferred, but not required (Ex. Meta, Hubspot, Hootsuite, etc.)
  • Location: Granville, OH (Hybrid, 2 days in office per week)
