We're looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to works across multiple teams to understand requirements, design, develop, test, and execute technical solutions for small to medium scale product level or client specific custom projects with a focus on data analysis.

What you'll do:

Work with members of multiple teams to understand unique client needs, provide consultation, and offer recommendations to define the solution that best satisfies the project objective or meets the client's expectations

  • Develop, test, and implement business processes or unique client solutions based on client need, may involve multiple platforms and/or tools. May also modify existing programming/code for new or changed requirements.
  • Document the agreed upon solution, requirements, and produce deliverables for each phase of the development cycle
  • Work with flat files, perform data analysis, data manipulation and joining multiple, large data files in various layouts/formats
  • Develop scripts to automate processes and existing workflows
  • Provide reasonable task estimates, manage and prioritize multiple projects, and remain flexible to changing requirements while meeting tight timelines
  • Communicate across various teams to coordinate timelines and deliverables
  • Research and troubleshoot any issues as they arise.

  • What you'll bring:

  • B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • 6+ years of IT experience required with strong UNIX environment and scripting skills
  • Working knowledge of data analytics
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written), self-motivation, and ability to work independently while remaining fully aligned within a diverse team environment
  • Ability to work within deadlines and effectively prioritize and execute on tasks
  • Proven skills in business requirements gathering and documentation
  • Experience with flat files, data analysis, data manipulation and joining multiple, large data files is required, with an understanding of the challenges of working with such large datasets
  • Analysis, design, and implementation experience
  • Strong research and troubleshooting/problem resolution skills are required
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical:
  • Computer Science or Engineering degree preferred
  • Read, extract, transform, stage and load (ETL) experience preferred
  • Experience with automating work preferred
  • Non-Technical:
  • Experience in direct marketing industry preferred
  • Motivated to learn new technologies, applications, and domains
  • Ability to take full ownership of tasks and projects
  • Behavioral Attributes:
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Possess can-do attitude to overcome any kind of challenge
