About this role

The Manager, Traffic Quality Analytics role will focus on automations, visualizations, and process enhancements to allow Media teams to work more efficiently. This includes analyzing, reporting, documenting, and presenting brand safety, viewability and non-human traffic trends, as well as developing efficient processes and documentation to work with cross teams. You will be the primary owner of communication with ad verification partners, ad servers, as well internal clients including Enterprise Operations, Product, Inventory and Media teams to resolve issues and develop tools and reporting for optimal efficiency and visualization. The Manager, Traffic Quality has experience managing a team of direct reports, conducting performance evaluations and goal setting. You'll be responsible for guiding multiple projects as both an individual contributor and as a team manager from conception to completion. This will include coordination among team members and cross teams to ensure tasks are completed, projects on track and proper communication and documentation have been disseminated. Acute attention to detail and understanding of digital media ecosystem and emerging technologies, including publishers, exchanges, DSPs, SSPs, and industry RTB standards. The Traffic Quality team requires someone who is highly motivated with strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, career development and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Own projects and collaborations with the ad verification vendors and cross teams to produce efficient processes, documentation, and visualizations
  • Serve as a point of contact for cross teams when multiple teams are working on the same project and ensure actions remain synergistic.
  • Serve as point of contact for Platform/Product cross-teams to drive initiatives from inception to completion.
  • Build and use in-house tools and SQL queries to proactively identify and research Ad Quality metrics and discuss and present to cross teams and leaders.
  • Respond to and investigate escalations from cross-functional teams on digital advertising behaviors and ad tags
  • Perform daily inventory audits. Recognize trends and anomalies and lead projects for needed enhancements.
  • Collaborate directly with Enterprise Operations to ensure correct tagging is present for client requirements.
  • This role will include a team of direct reports that would benefit from career path development, mentoring and guidance in ad operations, project management and data visualizations.
  • Contribute to the always growing Traffic Quality internal knowledgebase, maintaining quarterly stats, training documentation and necessary evidence for MRC Accreditation and industry audits.
  • Identify operational processes that can be streamlined or automated
  • Develop internal and external training materials for clients and cross- teams.
  • Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university a plus. Computer Science, Data Science, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics degrees are preferable or related experience in these areas
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the Digital Media Publishing or Advertising industry (Web Analytics, Ad Network, Web Publisher, Ad Agency, Ad Operations)
  • Experienced project manager with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in data visualization tools (Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, domo, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of various environment functionality (VAST/VPAID, MRAID, CTV, SSAI)
  • Understanding of HTTP protocol with the ability to debug web pages using tools such as Fiddler, WireShark, Chrome Developer tools or Charles
  • Understanding of industry, publisher identification and transparency standards (OpenRTB guidelines, ads.txt, app-ads.txt, ads.cert, sellers.json, etc.)
  • Must have experience with SQL
  • Proven ability to learn and master new computer systems and applications with minimal instruction
  • Ability to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience presenting complex concepts to both technical and business teams
