Job Description
Reporting to the Director of Incentive Compensation, the Incentive
Compensation Manager will manage a team of one or more analysts and own the
full incentive compensation program for two or more revenue centers. This role
is responsible for the development of the plan design, plan distribution,
commission calculations, policy governance, team and field training, and
analysis of overall plan effectiveness.
What You'll Do
Lead a high performing team of one or more incentive compensation analysts
by providing direction, prioritization of tasks, and ensuring accuracy and
timeliness of workflows and commission payments.
Ensure commission plan calculations are accurate, comply with the plans,
communicated properly, and completed in a timely manner for payroll
submission.
Partner with internal stakeholders at all levels to develop sales
incentive compensation plans that align with the right business outcomes
to drive growth.
Review all incentive compensation plans being issued for reasonableness of
target incentives and commission rates for as well as compliance with our
policies.
Manage the incentive compensation plan implementation in Xactly including
UAT (test scripts, logging defects, etc.)
Manage the distribution and status tracking of incentive compensation plan
documents.
Manage development and distribution of training, presentation, and other
materials for compensation program rollouts.
Assist in driving the issue resolution process for responding to escalated
issues and questions concerning incentive plan design/metric and policies.
Assist in the development and implementation of Compensation Policies
working with Finance, Legal, HR, Sales Operations and Sales and Client
Services Management.
Collaborate extensively with Finance, Sales Operations, Human Resources,
Sales, and Client Services on integration of sales programs, accruals, and
other initiatives.
Own the analysis and recommendations related to compensation plan
effectiveness.
Responsible for assisting in SOX processes and audits are complete and
reviewed.
Qualifications:
BA/BS in quantitative major (finance, business, mathematics, statistics)
preferred
5-7 years experience in compensation design, development, and
administration
Skilled and passionate about leading a high performing team – supporting
your team's growth is core to your management style.
Maniacally detailed AND strategic at heart – you can roll up your sleeves,
dig into the numbers AND you can partner with C-Suite executives to solve
challenges and design effective incentive compensation plans.
Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers of
all levels
Ability to manage programs and processes globally
Experience identifying areas for process improvement and driving solutions
Strong ability to analyze a situation, evaluate options, and solve
problems
Advanced time management skills including ability to handle multiple
projects with aggressive deadlines
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including use of PowerPoint, Excel,
advanced formulas and scenario analysis
Experience with incentive compensation automation tools, Xactly knowledge
a big plus
