Directive Consulting is the performance marketing agency for SaaS and Tech companies. We use Customer Generation (a marketing methodology developed by us) which focuses on SQLs and Customers instead of traditional metrics like MQLs. We offer Paid Media, SEO, Performance Creative, and Video to our clients by creating comprehensive digital marketing strategies that allow our clients to hit their SQL targets, every time.
This role reports to the Head of People Operations and is a crucial part of the Directive team. The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing our system and organizational controls, responding to threats and maintaining our security compliance, procuring and managing our remote computer inventory, managing software access and troubleshooting user issues, and resolving all IT support issues.
To be successful as an IT Manager, you should have an in-depth knowledge of various computer hardware and software technologies. Top candidates will also have an amiable personality and an aptitude for customer service.
Roles & Responsibilities: Procuring, shipping, and securely disposing of company-owned computer hardware
Managing company assets using MDM software (Jamf and Intune)
Troubleshooting user issues in Windows and MacOS
Managing employee software access (onboarding and offboarding) and troubleshooting issues
Regularly evaluating our IT systems to ensure they meet the necessary demands
Maintaining security compliance by following company policies
Educating coworkers about security compliance and best practices for computer usage
Resolving all issues coworkers have with their IT systems and software
Completing security questionnaires provided to Directive by our customers and vendors
Supporting the day-to-day operations of our remote computer inventory
Analyze departmental needs, identify vulnerabilities, and boost productivity, efficiency, and accuracy to inform business decisions
Ensure network components work together seamlessly to meet business needs, using their full range of capabilities, and stay informed about new features and competitor solutions
Analyze processes, technologies, and vendors continually to find areas for improvement
Prepare cost-benefit analyses when upgrades are necessary, and monitor vendors to ensure that they're offering the best possible service and value for business needs
Train employees to use software and hardware; troubleshoot issues and provide technical support when needed
Develop and execute disaster planning and maintain data backups
What You Offer:
Previous experience completing SOC 2 Type 2 and/or ISO 27001 is preferable
Experience managing computer inventory in a remote-first environment
Professional certification (e.g. CCNS, CISSP, MCSE)
Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills
Great communication, both written and verbal
Personable, professional demeanor
Five or more years of experience in IT management
Expertise in implementing, configuring, and testing IT solutions
Strong creative and analytical thinking

Work Environment Requirements
As a remote-first company, you'll have the ability to work from anywhere in the US, with the option to enjoy our state-of-the-art offices in Irvine, California. For some positions, as posted, we will accommodate global opportunities where we have established businesses, including Canada, the UK, and Australia. For global locations, you must have established and current work authorization and permanently reside in that country.
This role has the opportunity to operate 100% virtually from your home office. We primarily collaborate with our colleagues through virtual meetings (Zoom), and Slack. In this role, you will be required to operate a laptop computer (PC or Mac available), computer software platforms, and other office productivity tools as necessary. Due to the nature of this role, you must be able to remain stationary for extended periods, must be able to observe and interpret written and/or verbal communication, must have reliable internet access, and a professional background.
