The Data Product and Partnerships team at Epsilon is responsible for creating new data partnerships and data products designed to help brands grow. The team works directly with agency and client partners on how to best leverage Epsilon and partner data to achieve their objectives. Epsilon is continually looking to expand the data products as new opportunities exist in the marketplace, both in the US and Internationally.

Director, Data Product Management,

As a Director in Epsilon's Data Product Management team, you will be responsible for product innovation, product development, planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle. Epsilon has incredible data assets and seeks to use the data in new ways using existing and new analytical techniques, including ML and NLP to continue to drive performance for those data products in a privacy compliant manner. Understanding Epsilon's current products is critical so that any new data products are generated, manipulated and moved between products effectively to meet user needs.

About this Role

This Director, Data Product Management will drive the extension of Epsilon's current assets in the Contextual area for both the US and international markets, to work alongside Epsilon's COREID asset. Key operation functions include project management, execution of initiatives, creation of materials to support training and launch, and working closely with engineering, ad operations and sales to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met throughout the lifecycle of the product. The role will work closely with Epsilon product marketing, engineering, training and analytics as well as sale and account support to ensure commercial and performance goals are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand the market environment for Contextual data and audiences from both a business and performance perspective.
  • Leverage analytic acumen to identify key audience needs, perform gap analysis, assess new product ideas / innovations, determine market opportunity and participate in prioritization of initiatives.
  • Drive the creation of product requirements and stories fully describing required features and functionalities for new product innovations. Work with engineering and other teams throughout the entire product lifecycle
  • Lead the functional management of a data platform
  • Partner to manage engineering and analytics timelines and sprint work to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Provide content and thought leadership for marketing initiatives
  • Ensure Go To Market supports the wider Epsilon story and business model
  • Requirements

  • Eight+ years of product management experience desired.
  • Experience with Contextual data solutions- and the digital data marketplace domestically and internationally
  • Intermediate knowledge of relational databases, data structures/modeling
  • Intermediate experience with writing SQL programming
  • Exposure to marketing analytics, preferably digital but not required.
  • Demonstrated experience working with unstructured data and creating a story from that data.
  • Working knowledge and experience in various digital ecosystem environments including: AdExchanges, DSPs, RTB, and SSPs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write effective product requirements and training documentation
  • Excellent teamwork and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
