Benefits and HR Analyst

This is a hybrid role that requires 2 in-office days a week. We are currently located in Granville, OH however we are moving in Early Summer to the Polaris area near Westerville, OH. You must be able to report to each location until the move takes place.

Position Purpose:

The Benefits and HR Analyst aids with and facilitates the human resource processes. This role administers employee health and welfare plans and acts as liaison between employees and insurance providers. This position resolves benefits-related problems and ensures effective use of plans and positive employee relations. The Benefits and HR Analyst makes certain that plans are administered in accordance with federal and state regulations and that plan provisions are followed. This role provides key reporting and administrative support to the human resource function, including data analysis, reporting, record-keeping, and HRIS entry.

Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Behaviors

  • Administers health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes and terminations. Processes required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions.

  • Data Analysis: Collect, clean, and analyze HR data to identify trends, patterns, and insights. This may involve examining employee demographics, performance metrics, compensation data, turnover rates, and other relevant HR metrics

  • Conducts or assists with new hire onboarding process and orientation.

  • Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.

  • Ensure the accuracy of all benefits in the HRIS.

  • Serve as a point of contact for employees for employee Benefits questions/concerns.
  • Prepare and distribute benefits materials.

  • Assist with setting up file feeds with vendors.

  • Assist with maintaining associate files, ensuring documents are kept current, accurate, confidential and in compliance with company polices
  • Manage leave programs such as tracking leave and FMLA compliance and preparing related notification letters.
  • Support of HR administration.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.

  • Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred. Equivalent knowledge, skills and experience may qualify.
  • One to three years of related experience required.
