Job Description

We are looking for a highly conceptual Art Director with strong design skills, an eye for production and an excellent strategic mind. The ideal candidate will be well versed in the latest design trends and will have the portfolio to prove it. Must be able to work as part of a creative team along with a copywriter to deliver fresh ideas that solve real marketing objectives. Responsibilities will include concept generation, layout, revisions, direction distillation, presentation, and production. This individual must thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. We are looking for an Art Director that knows the 1-to-1 space (Direct Marketing and Digital channels) with specific email experience. Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, including Adobe XD (or similar prototyping program).

Essential Job Functions:

  • Collaborates with project teams to plan, analyze, organize, and execute assigned projects within all channels
  • Maintains stewardship of look, tone and feel for multiple accounts/brands, adhering to provided brand identity guidelines
  • Prepares materials from client presentation through studio hand off
  • Partners with copywriters to develop a range of ideas and designs that are on-brief and on-strategy
  • Partners with Account team to solve problems
  • Maintains file-management, using consistent naming conventions and procedures
  • Loves the creative process and knows how to have fun while working hard
  • Knowledge & Skills

  • Good sense of aesthetic, typography and practicing knowledge of information design and hands-on understanding of fundamental marketing principles
  • Strong knowledge of industry-standard software/programs: InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
  • Prototyping experience within Adobe XD or similar applications
  • Video and animation editing
  • Able to produce solid concepts and execute on direction received from Creative Director
  • Able to think strategically, understands the values of creative briefs
  • Understanding of digital technology, and how to use it to enhance the creative idea; Alert to social, mobile and developing technologies
  • Able to partner with creative team members to concept creative, on- strategy ideas
  • Strong time management skills with ability to work on multiple projects
  • Able to partner with Account team to answer client needs and ensure on- strategy design
  • Required Experience

  • Requires a minimum of 3-5 years of related experience
  • Experience with creative agencies/professional services is preferred
  • Digital and email experience required
  • The ability to provide a portfolio displaying bodies of work
